Integrity includes being honest, trustworthy, fair, authentic, being socially responsible, having the courage to stand up for what is right, and not compromising your principles. Teaching integrity in the classroom is important because it helps students apply integrity to other aspects of their lives, and become responsible and trustworthy adults.

Use children’s books about integrity as a gateway for opening up discussions in the learning environment. Whether you are a teacher, counselor, or parent, using books to help illustrate a topic is a great way for kids to learn.
