Description
Social skills lesson teaching polite vocabulary and behavior for students who struggle with bad manners, rude behavior, making friends, and keeping friends. In this good manners lesson learn to say please and thank you, you're welcome, excuse me, and I'm sorry. Includes a digital version for use with Google Slides for digital learning.
Students will wear Good Manners Sheriff Badges and listen to given scenarios, they will determine if there are any Good Manners Law violators (for rude behavior).
The 9 rules of having good manners taught in this lesson are:
- Accept Differences
- Treat others the way you want to be treated.
- 3. Be respectful of yourself and others.
- 4. Be a good sport.
- 5. Be helpful and put others first.
- 6. Patience is key, wait your turn.
- 7. Don't leave a mess.
- 8. Be kind, fair, and share.
- 9. Show others you appreciate them.
This activity takes about 30 minutes to complete with a small or large group. The goal is for students to practice using polite vocabulary and having good manners.
