Description

Designed to help elementary students learn how to identify and prevent community violence and ways to cope with the aftermath and trauma. These activities help students to recognize unsafe situations, identify warning signs, practice safe decision-making, and build healthy coping skills. Through scenarios, discussions, role plays, reflection activities, and calming strategies, students learn how to respond safely before, during, and after unsafe community events. The activities also encourage students to seek help from trusted adults, support others, and strengthen positive community connections.
